International Syalons are proud to announce their commitment towards net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 through membership of the BCC lead “British Ceramics: Towards Net Zero” sector initiative.
Climate change poses one of the greatest risks to society and it is our belief that every person and business should do their best to reduce their environmental impact. Therefore, International Syalons have welcomed the net-zero initiative introduced in 2021 by the British Ceramic Confederation. The initiative promotes support and collaboration within the industry as manufacturers share non-competitive knowledge and experiences of decarbonisation. The initiative includes a partnering and mentorship scheme where larger and more experienced businesses can offer advice and discuss best-practices with smaller businesses. Areas of focus include not only familiar manufacturing decarbonisation solutions such as heat recovery and power generation technologies, but supply chain, business management systems, and employee engagement guidance as well.
International Syalons remain committed to facing the challenges ahead and adapting and implementing new technologies where available.
